1.LECTURE
Project 1: Instructable Infographic Poster
For Project 1, we need an infographic poster selected from Spaghetti
Granny’s Recipes. Study a video that breaks down and breaks down the prep
and cooking process into an instructable poster. Try to capture each
grandma's personality and unique dish characteristics in your poster as part
of the narrative structure.

2. INSTRUCTIONS
Week 3 | Recipe selection, recipe breakdown, mood board, poster creation
3. Project 1: Instructable Infographic Poster
For Project 1, we will create an infographic poster for a recipe chosen
from Pasta Grannies. The recipe I chose is tiramisu. I like to try to
make various desserts by myself, among which tiramisu is easier for
novices to master.
Require:
- Size resolution: 1240×1750 pixels or 2048×2048 pixels
- Present large amounts of information in a compact and
easy-to-understand manner
1.Pasta Grannies - classic tiramisù dessert from Treviso
Traditional ingredients needed to make tiramisu:
- 6 egg yolks
- 10g sugar
- 450g mascarpone cheese
- 1 and 1/2 cups cold espresso
- 2 teaspoons rum
- 24 finger biscuits
- 20g cup cocoa powder

1. Prepare raw materials
- Separate 6 eggs - egg whites and egg yolks. Divide into two large bowls.
2.1 Mixed materials
- Add about 10g of sugar to the egg whites, mix, and whip the egg whites until creamy and not slippery when poured into a cup.
- Place in the refrigerator to chill.
- After beating the egg yolks, add 450g mascarpone. Mix well. Whip again until it becomes grainy.

2.2 Liquid ingredients
- Add two tablespoons of rum to the egg mixture.
- Mix the two whipped ingredients—whipped egg whites and whipped egg yolks➕mascarpone
- Use a mixing spoon to mix evenly (mixed cheese)

3. Carry out boxing
- Prepare a cake box on the back wall or other container
- Spread a layer of mixed cheese on the bottom
- Spread a layer of finger biscuits
- Use a spoon to slowly pour the coffee liquid on the finger biscuits, let it sit for a while, and wait for absorption.
- Again add a slightly thicker layer of mixed cheese
- Add a layer of finger biscuits and pour espresso liquid
- Finally, spread a layer of mixed cheese on the surface
4. Sieve
- Pour 20g cocoa powder into the sieve and gently beat until the cocoa powder is evenly sprinkled on the surface of the mixed cheese.
4.2 Put it in the refrigerator
- Place the container of tiramisu in the refrigerator until tomorrow
2.Mood board
I created a mood board with some great recipe posters, pasta graphics,
color palettes and key scenes from the video. I can discover the art
direction and graphic style I intend to apply in my instructable poster.
I then gathered references, which included screenshots and some images
of ingredients online that were not shown in detail in the video.

I drew a simple sketch of the general process for making tiramisu.

I mapped out the ingredients and each step of the tiramisu making
process, following the recipe breakdown I summarized from the video.
In the process of making the poster, I referred to the color scheme of
this poster, (background color, font color)：

Poster layout：
After the final teacher's guidance, I corrected some small details:
- Added raw materials
- Give the main title an arched shape to fit the poster better
- Add text to let viewers understand the production process

FEEDBACK
The poster design is very simple and needs to be appropriately combined with classic elements to attract the audience's attention and effectively convey your message.
REFLECTION
When designing posters, many small problems arise, and we need to draw them one by one. Generally speaking, using AI for drawing can provide professional-level drawing tools and functions, help users achieve various design goals, and provide us with a wealth of Creative space and opportunities for design exploration.
