DPI Final Project: Cinemagraph

Week 9 Lecture Slides:

 

Week 9:

We need to make a rendering of a "girl with a face of flowers and leaves". After cutting the girl's face, add shadows on the face to increase the realism and add leaves, vines and butterflies for decoration. Finally use the gradient effect.

Use tools 

• Use the Pen Tool to draw a closed path and make a selection to segment the woman's face.
• Apply blending options and fill in the shaded areas using the pen.

Portrait editor

• Perform layer management on face and shape layers.
• Use the blending options and the eraser tool to clean up the excess edges.

Creative addition

• Add bushes, butterflies and foliage flowers, paying attention to layer visibility and masking.
• Merge gradient maps and adjust brightness/contrast, gradients, etc., reduce transparency to achieve the final effect.

Week 10:

Mr. Martin introduced us to how to create a video timeline and animation axis in Photoshop, as well as manipulate stroke points and content-aware fill functions. In class, Mr. showed us how to operate the object selection tool, move the image, and add point movement actions. Add transformation points to create small movements for animation. After class, there are three animation exercises.

1. Man surfing

I needed to finish making this surfing man move against the tide in class. Steps:

• Use the object selection tool to select the boy and copy the layer using the shortcut key com j
•  Use the stamp tool to clean up the unselected excess parts of the background
•  Set the background layer and the cropped man layer as smart layers
•  Enter the timeline and use the transformation function to change the man's movements through movement

2.Floating girl

Basically the same steps as above.

3.Girl on the grass

we need to pass

Steps:

• Use the object selection tool to select the girl and the grass respectively and use the shortcut key com j to copy the layer.
• Use the stamp tool to erase the excess.
•  Make the background layer and the cropped girl layer, cloud background, and grass into smart layers respectively. Enlarge the grass, rotate and rise the girl, change the size, and add a timeline.

4. Yoga practice

We need to add drawing points and move them through the operating tools to change the woman's movement path.

Steps:

•  Use the object selection tool to select the girl and use the shortcut key com j to copy the layer
•  Use the stamp tool to erase the excess.
• Make the background layer and the cropped boy layer into smart layers and add animation axes
• To give the shape of the movements the girl makes, use the Manipulate Distortion tool and anchor some main points, namely her joints. Adjust anchor points for realistic movement.

5.Girl on the street
