Week 6：

In this week's lesson, Mr. Martin teaches us how to use the Distort filter - Diffusion and Smart filters to displace a photo. We process the following photos in class.

Today, Mr. Martin introduces us to the Stamp Tool. Use the options bar to customize tool settings (such as Size, Hardness, and Blending Mode) to get the effect you want. Can be used to patch backgrounds, the Elliptical Marquee tool is used to create ovals, and blending options (Bevel and Emboss) are available. Using these tools, we are tasked with transforming models into robots - prosthetics and synthetic skin.

This Friday Mr. Martin is teaching us in class to make a book about facial cutting and photography exercises. We just started cutting the woman's face, adding the shadow of the cut face, inserting the picture, using tools such as blending, lasso, pen, gradient, etc. to complete the exercise. The final art project was introduced at the end of the class and required to come up with our ideas and mood boards by next week.

2. Practice

WEEK 6

Part 1 ：

1.Replace the Malaysian flag on silk. First, set the image of the cloth to black and white, apply a Gaussian Blur 1.0 to the image and save it. Next, place the flag on top of the image of colored silk fabric and set the image as a smart layer. Finally, apply a Displacement filter to the flag and a Multi Blend Mode to Darken on the logo.

2.The teacher taught us how to replace the logo on a woman's face.

First, we need to make the image black and white, apply a Gaussian Blur 1.0 to the image and save it. Next, place the logo on the woman's face in the color picture, set the layer with the logo to a smart layer, apply the displacement filter to the logo, and adjust the normal to blended darkening mode. Finally, create a layer mask and use the brush to erase much of the logo.

3. Place the texture on and blend it into the cat’s body

part 2 ：

Poster creation

We were asked to create a poster with photorealistic image elements.We need to find 2 unrelated reference images to combine into one.

I found some unrelated images and wanted to combine them into a complete creative image.

WEEK 7:

In class, we teach through teacher's demonstrations, ppt, and videos.

• Use some new tools to complete the placement of the robotic prosthesis onto the human calf.
• Use the pen tool to complete the tracing of the legs and synthesize the skin.

FEEDBACK:

Week 6:

Teacher Martin said that my idea is very good and I handle the details well, but it may lack some innovation.

Week 7:

Mr. Martin commented that the prospects for cutting the legs were good.
