Creative Picture 3:The distance between the moon and the SLATE road is very far, but we can see the dislocation from the picture, the SLATE road extends to the moon, as if it can directly lead to the distance, giving people infinite reverie, this is a series about the feeling of change. It shows the urge to go where you belong, the road you have to travel, and the decisions you make when opening a new chapter in our lives. It's about facing uncertainty and loss.

Fig 2.3
After completing the work, I received some feedback from the teacher, who taught me a lot of areas for improvement. The collage of my work is relatively simple, which can add more interest and innovation.

Week 2:FEEDBACK
I learned the knowledge of using different blending modes in class. Through the teacher's explanation in class, I edited and used the collage from the previous class, cut out and edited some pictures given to us by the teacher, and completed the blended mode picture combination.

Week 3:

Picture 1: Sunset

Fig 3.1

Cut out the bird picture into the sunset photo and select the blending mode.

Fig 3.2
I used the Lasso Tool to cut out the birds from the background, added adjustment layers to change the contrast and applied a blend and linear gradient effect.

Picture  2: Girl holding coffee with steam

Fig 3.3

I used a blending mode on the smoke and copied it to the girl holding the cup in the image. Increased contrast to make the smoke show through, and also added a radial gradient.

Picture  3:Superman in the Palace

Fig. 3.4

Fig 3.5

We use the brush tool to cut out Superman and add it to the palace screen.
  • Drag and drop the SHAZAM to the Hearst Tower.
  • Adjust the size and reposition the SHAZAM.
  • Use the diffusion function in the layer
  • Adjust the color correction: Match Color (Image → Adjustments).

Fig 3.6

We create Shazam's reflection by creating a new layer.
  • Shortcut key: Polygonal Lasso Tool
  • Duplicate SHAZAM's layer
  • Rename the layer to Reflection

week 3:assignment

Fig 3.8

This week's assignment is for us to take a full-body photo of ourselves and put our photos into the picture according to what we learned in class.

Week 4:FEEDBACK
The teacher commented on my homework after class and pointed out my problems. The proportion of characters in the picture is too large, so it needs to be reduced. Watch the picture given by the teacher in the cloud disk, and refer to the proportion of characters in the picture to modify this assignment.

Fig 3.9

After the teacher's guidance, the character was reduced to a reduced proportion.

Week 5:

In this exercise, Ms. Martin teaches us how to recolor a black and white image in class.

Recolor the black and white image

Part 1:Recolor the image.

I changed the color of the little girl's pupils, background, and skin. Make the overall picture more beautiful.

Week 5:FEEDBACK
Teacher Martin said that my homework was very detailed and the color selection was very suitable for the little girl in the picture.

Week 6 :

Double exposure and photo manipulation

Part 1: Class Exercise: Double Exposure

Through the teacher’s explanation in class, here is what I did:

Fig 6.1 Add curve adjustment
  • Add the forest image and reposition it, turning it upside down. Select Clipping Mask - Solid Color.
  • Select the brush tool and paint the desired part of the woman's face.
Fig 6.2 After inserting the picture

Add two pictures of bird images.
Select the Darken/Multiply blending mode to remove the white background.
Then add the picture of clouds, turn it upside down, and pull it to the shoulders.

I added a gradient map fill layer, Lower the opacity to around 50 percent.

Final renderings:

Fig 6.3 Double exposure and photo manipulation

Part 2: Find a profile picture of yourself and perform double exposure processing on Photoshop.

Fig 6.4 Photo

I found a profile photo of me and the image I needed to add to the character.

Final renderings:
Fig 6.5 Double exposure

Through the teacher's explanation, I learned that double exposure is a technique of superimposing two different exposures or images. The superimposed image is not completely opaque, so two images can be seen, creating a more blurry and ghostly feeling. I didn't understand the meaning of double exposure before, and I didn't adjust the color saturation and hue on the image. The color of the image was too rich. I made the following adjustments:

Fig 6.6 Double exposure jpg

Week 5:FEEDBACK
After reading my homework, the teacher pointed out many of my problems.
  •  The cutouts on the faces of the portraits were not detailed enough.
  •  The colors superimposed on the pictures were too strong, and the saturation would be lower when using a double exposure camera. Transparency is reduced.
  •  The background is a bit spacey.
  •  In the process of superimposing the second picture, the transition between the two pictures should be more natural.
In response to these problems, I made adjustments.

REFLECTIONS :

  • Experiences

In class every Friday, I continue to study the content explained by the teacher and continuously improve my skills in using Photoshop in practical classroom operations. I understand that theoretical knowledge is only the foundation, and mastering PS requires continuous practice and practice. In order to improve my skill level, I insisted on incorporating the methods I learned into my homework. There was a lot I didn’t understand at the beginning, and my efficiency would be very low at the beginning. However, through constant hands-on practice and asking classmates and teachers for help when encountering difficulties or problems that I didn’t understand, my skills have been improved.

  • Observations

Through the teacher's explanation, Photoshop has many uses, such as image processing, layers, editing, comprehensive use of channels, paths, various special effect filters, special effect words, etc., to create ever-changing special effects.
